ABOUT THIS BLOG
There are TONS of music download sites on the web, right? Of course! So...why another one? Glad you asked! There are several reasons why we've chosen to create this site:
- taste
- focus
Taste: There's something to be said for quantity. Huge sites like MP3.com, Download.com and the free track download section at Amazon.com are great resources, with their thousands and thousands of track available for you to grab. But, there's a flip side to that coin: There are thousands and thousands of tracks to wade through to find something decent... something you might really like. And that's where we come in. Each of the tracks posted here has been listened to by real human ears and rated "two thumbs up". That's why we have the word "great" in our title. We believe these are great songs. We hope and believe that you'll agree...so it's worth your time to visit again and again.
Focus: We have a bunch of sites in this little network, and in almost every case, the music is tightly focused. In fact, some of the sites were started because certain types of music (like solo piano and fingerstyle guitar) were being ignored by the large music download sites. Again, we're hoping to save you time and energy... by focusing on just a few styles of music. Chances are, if you like one or two songs on these sites, you'll like many of the rest!
